"Ilchee, also known as Moon Child, was an amazing and powerful woman of the Chinook Tribe. She lived along the Columbia River in the northwestern United States during the time of Lewis and Clark. History says of her, "She paddled her own canoe."

It is good to remember and honor women who have gone before us.
